After being named one of the 50 Boston startups to watch in 2020, BlinkAI closed the year and kicked-off 2021 in a major way by bringing its imaging enhancement solution into the hands of consumers worldwide through a partnership with Xiaomi, the third-largest global smartphone manufacturer.
Campaign: The Boston startup engaged BMV in December 2020 to drive its communications efforts around the global launch of the Xiaomi Mi11, which included BlinkAI’s software on the device to power its ‘Night Video’ mode. BMV was responsible for developing the English-language messaging and strategy for the U.S. launch and driving awareness through traditional media relations and content marketing assets such as YouTube demos.
- BMV drove initial coverage with more than 40 global media outlets covering the imaging, developer, and smartphone market including PetaPixel, XDA Developers, GSM Arena, DP Review, and AndroidCommunity.
- Producing demo videos on YouTube with the Mi 11 that showcased the phone’s night video capabilities powered by BlinkAI and providing for media outlets to use within their stories led to 230K video views and brand engagements.
- In total, the campaign drove 1.32M brand and story engagements and 68.5K social shares.
