BMV assisted the Litecoin Foundation, the multi-billion-dollar cryptocurrency, in establishing a strategic marketing program to drive awareness of the coin.
With the cryptocurrency boom at the end of 2017, Litecoin — one of the largest and most popular cryptocurrencies — grew in prominence as the ‘Silver to Bitcoin’s Gold’. As it scaled globally Litecoin was in need of a marketing team that understood how to compete for awareness amongst players with much larger teams and greater resources.
- BMV’s efforts focused on positioning the coin as the ideal cryptocurrency for global payments.
- With merchant adoption a critical component to Litecoin’s long-term success, BMV executed the #PayWithLitecoin campaign to drive awareness of why and how companies around the world should integrate Litecoin as a form of payment.
- The campaign has consisted of building a PayWithLitecoin.co microsite, with traffic driven there via a supporting social media campaign, and a grassroots local activation component.
- To date, the #PayWithLitecoin campaign has resulted in thousands of new businesses across the globe inquiring about Litecoin integration. It has also garnered a great deal of buzz in the media and across social media as well, with the Litecoin community frequently engaging major brands to prompt them to accept Litecoin as a form of payment.
