After winning MassChallenge, Boston-based TellusLabs was looking for a way to drive both national and industry-wide attention with closing a $3M seed round. However, without a customer to publicly name at launch, and battling larger incumbents such as Orbital Insight and Descartes Labs in the geospatial analytics and machine learning space, it was facing an uphill battle for mindshare.
BMV assisted TellusLabs in navigating this landscape, and the obstacles in its way, to secure favorable coverage in the media with its funding announcement and public launch.
- In addition to helping the company develop and refine its messaging/co. narrative, BMV helped TellusLabs secure coverage with TechCrunch, The Boston Business Journal, Built in Boston, AgFunder News, A&A Farmer, and SatelliteToday, while building relationships for future pieces with The Financial Times and Bloomberg.
- BMV then helped TellusLabs ramp up their own content marketing program with internal data to keep the company top of mind within the industry.
